A journey into the macroscopic world of ice and snow. I tried to get as to snowflakes and icicle close as possible, mounting my camera on a tripod and using the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 macro lens. The lens is extremely sharp and fast, probably the sharpest lens that I own. Getting that close required a lot of patience to get the right focus and wait for windless moments so that nothing moves. All pictures were shot at the Plätzwiese in South Tyrol.
